Salomon Bay – A Secluded Slice of Paradise
Escape to Salomon Bay Beach, one of St. John’s most stunning hidden gems. With powdery white sand, crystal-clear aqua waters, and a peaceful off-the-beaten-path location, this beach is perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Though once a best-kept secret, Salomon Bay remains less crowded due to its hiking-only access, making it an ideal spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Virgin Islands. The calm, shallow waters are great for swimming, while shady spots provide a break from the sun.
How to Get There:
✔️ Hiking: Take the Lind Point Trail from the National Park Visitor Center in Cruz Bay. After about 1 mile, take the left path at the “Y” to reach Salomon Bay. Along the way, enjoy scenic viewpoints overlooking the Caribbean. The trail continues to Honeymoon Beach, where you’ll find a watersports shack and refreshments.
✔️ Driving: Park at Honeymoon Beach (Caneel Bay access) and take the VI Ecotours golf cart shuttle. From there, hike a short distance to Salomon Bay.
Whether you’re looking for seclusion, swimming, or a scenic hike, Salomon Bay is a must-visit beach on St. John!
